Employees who give birth to a child may use all types of paid leave, plus unpaid leave, to take up to 16 weeks of leave following the birth of a child. The Aspen Institute paid family leave policy provides for two weeks of paid leave for the care of a child at any time within four months after the birth (or adoption) of a child. Allows for use of short-term disability for 6 weeks at 66% of pay (up to $5,000/month). Accrued sick and vacation leave may be used to supplement the 66 percent maternity leave benefit to maintain full salary
